Zach Baumer, MBA 2009

Zach is the Manager of the City of Austin’s Climate Protection Program. He started with the city of Austin in May of 2011 and now manages the community wide and internal City Department greenhouse gas inventories and reduction plans. The Austin Climate Protection Program now resides in the Office of the City Manager and Zach reports to the Chief Sustainability Officer of the City. For the past four years, Zach was a consultant with the URS Corporation in Oakland and Austin. At URS, Zach led the pursuit and delivery of greenhouse gas management and sustainability planning projects for a wide range of clients including the power sector, manufacturing, oil & gas and government.
