Sonya Kendall, Director of Alumni Affairs

Sonya Kendall, Director of Alumni Affairs, brings over seven years' experience in small, large and nonprofit educational business management to the Presidio Graduate School. Sonya graduated magna cum laude from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA with a degree in Literature and a minor in Non-Profit Management.

As Director of Alumni Affairs, Sonya advances engagement with the Alumni community by streamlining systems for increased collaboration, developing and managing initiatives and ensuring continuity between graduates and Presidio administration.

Sonya served as the Director of University Tutoring in Seattle, as a Program Manager for Kaplan PreCollege NorCal West, on the Board of Directors for the California Dictionary Project and as an Academic Editor for graduate students in Boston, Seattle and San Francisco. In each of these settings, Sonya served as a key player in supporting meaningful change and growth.

As a Sonoma County native who has lived in the northeast and northwest, Sonya loves being back in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a member of the International Honors English Society, Modern Language Association and American Educational Research Journal. Sonya is a bike commuter, musician and day-hiker enthusiast. She is thrilled to be a part of the dynamic Presidio community and is dedicated to supporting Alumni as they pursue the meaningful work of building a sustainable future.
