Sara Taylor, Registrar, joins Presidio Graduate School with a strong background in education. She was an Educational Programs Coordinator for Smile Herb Shop in College Park, MD, a Registrar for AIMC Berkeley and an English Teacher at North Point High School in Waldorf, MD.
Sara graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park, MD with degrees in English Language and Literature and Secondary Education Practicum and Pedagogy and with a minor in Women’s Studies. She also worked towards a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine at Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA.
Sara was moved by Presidio’s mission that values practicality, idealism and sustainability in equal measure. The school mirrors her interests in conservation and educational excellence, and her work positions her to identify and strengthen the academic program and community through infrastructure and to cultivate an educational environment that is supportive and challenging for students, faculty and staff. Deepening the integrity of Presidio’s programs, instructional objectives and academic policies fits with her professional goals and personal values.
Sara’s diverse interests include art, mathematics, herbalism, botany, languages, calligraphy, literature, mycology, comparative religion, folk and fairy tales, beekeeping, organic farming, poetry, feminism, horticulture, natural history and fiber arts. She also enjoys painting, tutoring, herbal consultation, Yoga, Reiki, reading, sewing, nature walks, camping and dance of every kind.
