On Saturday, February 24, 2012, a team of four Presidio Graduate School MBA students won the regional final round of the 3rd Annual Hult Global Case Challenge held in San Francisco, California.
The annual Hult Global Case Challenge is the largest international business case competition, bringing together many of the brightest business
students from around the globe to help solve one of the world’s key social challenges. The Hult Challenge is a partner of the Clinton Global Initiative, founded by former President Bill Clinton.
Presidio MBA candidates Sarah Cabell, Mara Slade, David Stripling and Shaun Webb successfully competed in the regional finals against teams from 14 universities, including the University of California Berkeley, Columbia Business School, Stanford University, Claremont Graduate University, University of Chicago, Bainbridge Graduate Institute, Thunderbird School of Global Management and several others. The Presidio team created a novel, high-impact strategy to enable Habitat for Humanity to build homes for 50 million people in the next 10 years.
Regional competitions were held simultaneously on five global Hult campuses including Dubai, London, Shanghai, Boston and San Francisco. Each team competing in the regional competitions was chosen from more than 4,000 applications.
Along with four other teams, the Presidio team now advances to the finals in New York City to be held April 26, 2012. There, they will present their ideas to a panel of world-class judges, including former President Clinton. The winning team will be awarded $1 million in seed capital for implementation of their world-changing idea.
